What is a Plant Dad?
A plant dad is someone who takes on the responsibility of caring for houseplants with dedication and passion. Similar to being a plant mom, a plant dad nurtures and tends to his plants, ensuring they receive the right amount of water, light, and nutrients.
This role goes beyond basic plant care—it involves a deep connection and commitment to fostering the growth and health of each plant.
We are all for this emerging trend because it means that plants are accessible to everyone! If you go online and look up plant dad hashtags, you’ll find a variety of content from plant tips to design tips to memes. You know a trend is significant when folks like Jimmy Fallon start highlighting it:
Canada’s Garden Hall of Fame
Did you know there is a hall of fame for Canadians who have made significant marks on the garden landscape? This list features horticulturists, gardeners, designers, inventors, and even educators. It’s a great opportunity for us to learn more about garden culture and celebrate the people behind some of our favourite gardens to visit, plants to buy, and ways to learn.
